The Philosophers Stone is the substance that will change lead to gold.
However the Philosophers Stone is a metaphor for something else.
There is no actual Stone, no actual lead or gold involved.
I will now tell you the core of Alchemy, what it really means...
Alchemy is not something to be studied, rather to be experienced.
Man is the Lead.
God is the Gold.
Man is not God, rather a creation of Him.
Man has none of the Divine in him.
Our souls, not our bodies, were made in the image of God.
However we do not have the Substance.
It is like we are a square, the image of a Cube, however we do not have depth to become a Cube.
The thing that will make man Divine is God’s Love.
It is God’s Love that will heal you and redeem you from sin.
God’s Love is the Stone, to get it, pray and long for it. As long you pray and long sincerely, you will have it.
The Elixer of Life will come to you in drops, then streams, then rivers and finally an ocean.
Finally you will become Pure, not just Pure, but Divine and Pure.
This means that you have the potential to become the greatest of God’s creations.
That is Alchemy explained. :)
